With so much to plan before attending a business exhibition, it’s easy to feel daunted. Luckily though, help is at hand! These 4 simple tips will help to ease the burden and let you get the most from the experience:
Plan in advance:
Perhaps slightly obvious; there’s no point planning an event after it’s happened. The thing that’s not so obvious though is just how far in advance; 4 months is considered a safe estimate to allow time for everything that needs to be taken into account.
Establish objectives:
It helps immeasurably, both in preventing spending time and/or money on irrelevant pursuits and in cementing in yourself and your employees what you’re expecting from the event, to have firm objectives laid out as early as possible. Think back to your school days and remember to make the objectives SMART: Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, and with a Timeframe.
Research the exhibition:
This will give you more information to aid the planning process. You’ll most likely to be able to find out how many people are attending, how many other businesses are attending, and perhaps even what businesses they are. This information can help you tailor your exhibition stand to appeal to the most guests, and to know what you’re up against in terms of competitors.
Establish a budget:
It’s always a good idea to know how much money you’re devoting to particular pursuits, and a business exhibition is no different. You should take into account exhibition stand hire and space rental, design costs, travel costs, staff training costs, and add a buffer to that amount just in case.
